Microsoft has made another attempt of survival against the rivals Google by bidding for Yahoo!
Microsoft has been trying to buy Yahoo for the last 18 months or so, but hasnt been succesful but most analysts believe this is just the right time for the acquisition to happen. Board at Yahoo has been negating the offer and have been "trying" for a turnaround; which didnt take place despite the change in strategies over last year or so.
But would this acquisition help solve the purpose. The acquisition is majorly to capture the online market and Microsoft believes Yahoo and its vision towards online market are in sync and with synergies meeting there would be a win-win situation. But Online market is majorly about Search and Search remains synonomous with Google. So would this acquisition by any chance help them challenge "Google" or atleast help them "Survive"
