A Night it was....

Finally the IPL has arrived...& it did in Delhi too..

So after deciding to go for the Delhi Dare Devils match at 6:45 PM, i was running against time (without tickets). And what all i had to do - take a bath, clean my bike (was riding after 6 months - to save on time), pick Sonti, search for Kotla & check for tickets.

7:05 PM, i was on road and with all the shortcuts and speed on my Yamaha, i reached Sonti's place at 7:30 PM (23 kms :) ) & we were all set to reach Kotla before we found a jam but c/o of the two wheeler we were on, we could beat it and reach Kotla around 8:00 PM. The crackers were on and traffic was stand still so decided to go & park the bike and Sonti was on the ticket counters to get tickets. The Marwadi Great Laker that he is, he got 1000 Re ticket for 350/- and i found parking slot 3 Kms away from Kotla. Ran, Ran & Ran - It was Run Lola Run that was coming to my mind while i was running towards the stadium.

8:30 PM, 3 overs -17/3 Rajasthan & we were in Kotla. Watching the heros closely, so closely that it got a lil difficult to find who was batting & where was Sehwag & Shane :).

After watching Rajasthan struggle to bat, Delhi Daredevils hit boundaries at will & Delhi crowd going mad (with job cribs as munch ins) we were done & decided to go to IIFT for dinner. Reached there by 00:15 and got some nice Aaloo Paranthas to eat.

After dropping Sonti, i reached back home by 1:15 AM.

All in all a nice weekend....and the only reason i didnt write much about the match was the fact that it wasnt as interesting to me as a 50 over match, except for the cheerleaders :)
